Business Process Purpose

ProcessGrid is system designer and hence you can design any business process.
Following types of processes and work flows can be designed in ProcessGrid.

  1. Sales and Service
  2. Production Planning
  3. Purchase Indent
  4. Maintenance
  5. Communication
  6. Non-Conforming Product
  7. Scrap Disposal
  8. Repair Request
  9. Research’
  10. Free Sample Request
  11. Internal Product use Request
  12. Warranty Service
  13. Sales Return
  14. Purchase Return
  15. Corrective and Preventive Action
  16. Production Excess / Return

You can enable disable them as needed so that selection while designing “Business Processes” is limited to your selection.

Remember that if you are enabling “Sales and Service” you may also need “Sales Return”.

Similarly enabling “Purchase Indent” may require you to enable “Purchase Return.

Enabling business process purpose will still require you to create business processes associated with these purpose, enable them and assign permissions.

You can set following for each purpose:

  1. Title in tasks or tickets (also enable it for Business Process)
  2. Title in stores (Also enable it for material issue and/or material receipts as needed)
  3. Business Process (Enable / Disable)
  4. Material Issue (Enable / Disable)
  5. Material Receipt (Enable / Disable)

    You will not be able to set other properties as they define how it will work like. They are self explanatory.

    Products: Associated with saleable, purchasable, manufactured or all types of products
    Account: Associated with customer, supplier, cost center or other
    Linked Task List: which other purpose or business process is linked to it
    Linked Record List: which records are linked to this purpose
